I am a Marine Studies major. For an undergrad community college, this campus has a WONDERFUL program. The staff is incredibly helpful, you get to work with NOAA and government officials, go out on research vessels, aquaculture labs, white abalone recovery, and the National Marine Sanctuary. Research projects are at graduate level and the stipend (up to $2,800) is great! Not to mention the recognition of working with these agencies looks great on university transcripts. You get internship opprotunities and outstanding networking.
