Seton Hall University is a terrible school for its resident students. The surrounding town of South Orange is dull, lifeless, and lacking fun things for college students to do. The neighboring towns of Vailsburg and Irvington are dangerous and scary. Students are often mugged just outside of the campus gates. Only a select few of the faculty members are caring and helpful, others are simply here for the salary. Many students are snooty and unapproachable. Activities are exclusive, making it hard to make friends if you are not an athlete or a Greek. Housing is TERRIBLE! It needs to be updated a.s.a.p. SHU is totally not worth the money, please be wise and turn elsewhere if you're looking for a fun and interesting educational experience.
