Bellarmine University does not live up to the legacy of Thomas Merton in any way. The professors although very intelligent and friendly do not challenge student's perceptions, with the exception of a few. College is a place to think outside the box and not subscribe to one closeminded view of the world. Not alot of diversity and ignorance and racism are present. One positive is the city of Louisville but if you do not have a car then it is hard to do alot unless you enjoy walking alot. Academically, I think that the school chooses students just to raise enrollment in order to turn the school into something it may never be. If you want a cookiecutter student body then go here but if you want to challenge yourself and youre mind and dont need alcohol to do it then look elsewhere.
