I came to this school with the belief that there would alwyas be stuff to do on campus that the college planned and that schoolwork would be challenging and the people would be awesome. Not so. They tricked all of us through those acceptance days and orientation into believing that everyone would always be involved in something and that there would always be something to do on campus that would make up for the lacking surrounding area. I also never expected for people to be so extremely weird or apathetic or stupid. Sure, I have a couple friends, but people gossip all the time and it's a high school kind of environment. It's way too small and the college doesn't seem to care that there's NOTHING to do, especially if you don't have a car and freshmen aren't allowed to have them. Also, I totally blame the Ursinus for selling itself to me and influencing my decision so that I came here instead of a different school. This is mostly for science majors - the french department sucks because of this one professor - she has RUINED my enthusiasm for french. And one word of advice: MAKE SURE you check out the teachers in your department before you decide to go to a school. I had no idea that this teacher teaches most of the french classes here and it's horrible. One more thing - if you have a real desire to learn and meet people who are enthusiastic about learning, this is not the place to be. If you want to party every night or get a great education in bio or chem and be bored all day, come here. This should not be one of the best colleges or a college that changes lives - it is nothing of the sort!
