Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
if you are moving to Sacramento to go here: the campus itself is nice, lots of tress and shade and squirrels, decent facilities, good teachers, etc. The surounding area is not so nice. I live about 30 mins away in the suburbs because it's nicer, and because living any place decent in the downtown/trendy area is expensive. I think I'm getting a good education for the money I am spending. The photography program has two wonderful full time professors and a couple great part timers. I joined the school newspaper (one of the best four-year college papers in California, and one of the best in the NATION for our website) and made tons of new friends my first semester here. Because of my participation in the newspaper I have gotten to know a couple of my professors pretty well, and I will end up with some good letters of recommendation when I apply to grad school. For the most part the teachers and students are helpful and friendly. Average to poor service from admissions and records and financial services. College is what you make out of it! I recommend this school if your major/program is one of the ones the school is becoming known for. Business, photography, graphic design, education, journalism, government/political science, etc. Pick the school with the best teachers/facilities/classes in YOUR MAJOR!
