Perceived
value of your college education is often best assessed after
long-term competition in your chosen field. Having graduated >25
years ago, I have been consistently impressed by the preparation
that BMC gave me in generating the unexpected solution to
the “unsolvable” problems. I have also been incredibly impressed
by the kindness, commitment and real-world networking help provided to
me by the very active and loyal BMC alumni network.
I have been on both the benefactor and beneficiary sides
of this network at various time points in my career.
In sum, as a University of California tenured faculty, I
cannot stress the non-quantifiable high value of a BMC undergraduate
education for women seeking to define and “solve” a combined
career-family lifestyle!
