Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a double major Psychology and Spanish. I think a lot of these posts so far have been disgruntled students who had one bad experience and let it define what they think of the school. The psychology department is rigid but it's very effective. We are not being prepared specifically for Arcadia's graduate program, most psychology programs are similar to ours. Arcadia also does a great job of involving you with what you're learning. My teachers are extremely friendly and I have never hesitated to approach a faculty member in any department. My english teachers have helped me develop as a writer, and even my freshman seminar helped me think about things in new ways. The social life is really what you make of it. If you stay in your room or go home every weekend, no wonder you feel like there is nothing to do on campus! There are events basically every other night and my friends and I make our own fun if there is nothing going on on campus. I never expected the school to entertain me when deciding on a school. If you're looking for a summer camp to keep you busy at all times, I'm sorry, this is college. Additionally the people that complain about the school being a suitcase school are the ones that leave every weekend because they don't bother to look around at what they could be doing on campus. If you want to have fun, go to events, be active in clubs, find a group of people who share your interests and let that be your entertainment. I promise it's more exciting than refreshing facebook seven times a minute. If you have any questions or comments my email is feel free to contact me. It will probably be more productive than reading a website where people go to rant about their bad day…
