First of all, I would like to say that I was extremly proud to be able to go to Carthage. It is known as a very good school and Graduates got first dibes on some of the best jobs. My experiance and perception of this school is extremly destroyed. This school has screwed up my paper work and records 3 times so far. They are very disorganized and make huge mistakes that disrupts your goals, money, your graduation date, and your time. So far I have been misleaded several times by advisors and administration staff that I am desparate to feel safe and comfortible in my own school. Last semester I ended up taking 2 classes that I didn't need but was told I needed in order to graduate. I was also told that I would be graduating in Dec 2008. Because of this mistake it has set me back a whole full time semester. In addition, I received a list of classes from my advisor that I needed in order to graduate. 3 classes on this list were classes that I already have credit for. So that means if I would have scheduled and took these classes that would have set me back even further and would have cost me MORE MONEY and MORE TIME!!!! Also, the the people in the offices are very un-professional and rude. They all just keep pushing you around to other people and they all have no idea what they are doing. SOME of the professors are very smart but are really bad at teaching. This causes a lot of problems because as students we are expected to do good and not being taught correctly makes things impossible. Some of the professors are so self absorbed and un-organized that it makes me want to walk right out of class. I wouldn't recomend this school in regards to my experiance and my crushed dreams of getting a degree from a school I can be proud of. I now am stuck at this school until I can finally graduate and spend another 35000.00 on a degree from a school I am no longer proud to attend.
