Stony Brook University is the perfect choice for anyone willing to work extremely hard and leave their comfort zone at home, the knowledge you will acquire is priceless and the professors are overwhelmingly smart. I transfered here and I have never regretted my decision once. The students are really friendly (everyone goes out of their way to hold a door for you). No one cares about what you look like or wear, everyone is expected to be an individual person and thinker. I couldn't be happier with my decision and a big bonus is how inexpensive it is for everything you get.
