Thank goodness I left! I have never imagined a university education - two keywords: university and education to be so backwards. Though I have met a handful of good professors, I met some professors there who could not speak English and they were the only professor you could pick for the course, let alone they were unapproachable. Some professors even taught the wrong things, I had to write the deans a complaint and provided evidence on professors teaching wrong material! Then there seemed to be some racial-tension going on from the high schools and the kids that end up in SJSU, most just went by day-to-day but some kids at SJSU were blatantly racist. Your university if a social arena as well, many of your classmates will help you later in life. Not particularly at SJSU, many of those kids sitting next to you just want to work a 9-5, and 66% don't graduate and the 33% that do, usually take more than 4 years. I ended up transferring to the UC system and finished my school in 1 year, with approachable professors and students on the same caliber, who want to travel the world and change the world. If you just want to work 9-5 while going to school for 10 years and living in San Jo for the rest of your life this is the school, if you want to do more and learn more, finish your GEs with good grades and get out as soon as you can!

commentFunny how you managed to transfer to the UC system when the UC system doesn't admit anyone who has previously attended a non-UC university.
responseOh yes they do… in my case, I went to SJSU for a year and a half, then I left for a community college, then I transfered to UC Davis—which is not a perfect school either, but way better than SJSU.
