Maybe it's my own fault for having such high expectations, but after completing my 3rd year at Penn, I can't believe I'm still here.  For an Ivy League school that boasts of its competitiveness, my classes sure have been filled with a load of dumbasses riding the legacy train.  Despite this, in many of the departments the curve is so competitive that students don't focus on learning material, but figuring out a strategy just to pass exams.  The academic advising is shit, and as a freshman, I could've signed up for 5 elective classes and my advisor would've approved the schedule.  For anyone who is even a tiny bit different, don't plan on finding a real group of friends.  Even the “different” group are all different in the same stereotypical hipster way.  At this point I'm just sticking it out because I've waited too long to go somewhere else...
