Such an awful school. I graduated from here 5 years ago and nobody will hire me based on being a manhattan grad. My friend went to Fordham, had worse grades “ and we applied to the same job and I didnt get it! Food is terrible, dorms are awful.

Do you get cold in the winter? Better have a nice jacket as they don't heat the dorms! Facilities are old & antiquated “ usually in disarray. Some of girls are nice, most are shallow however. Dean of Students is a bitter and ruthless woman, who will try to suspend you at any chance possible! RA's extremely strict, they check in your rooms on a daily basis. Surprise inspections during Thanksgiving break etc. Ive never seen a single edition of the school newspaper, "The Quadrangle," without grammar errors. When things break it doesn't get fixed for a long time. A lot of the students are drunks and can be very raucous.

Educational value? More like high school. Scholastic success is not determined by your understanding of the material in most cases. Math dept is inept at teaching basic topics. Actual NYC is a 40 minute subway ride away (although it is technically NYC). Snooty neighbors in Fieldston. If you bring a car up there be prepared to pay about $2000 in parking tickets, and be prepared to have your car broken into if you dont pay the $600 for a parking pass. Ultra high costs for everything, parking permits, etc.

Decent atmosphere among students during the last month of school, but weekends are a bore. Most everyone goes home. Diversity nonexistant. Some students are cool, but most only care about themselves and partying.

Architecture of certain buildings is pleasing on the outside. The quad is a good thing about the school. But as for everything else, it is a dismal place in general.
