You seem like a creep. |
And you seem like a jackass. |
For the most part, the girls are stupid and hypocritical. They'll call the cops on you if you write them a love letter but if you approach them at a frat party, they'll sleep with you. What a blatant misogynist. You trash the entire university because a girl turned you down? Well done. |
Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I wished I had never turned down MIT to go to this school. Even more so, I wish I didn't attend as a commuter. MIT would have been a great school but the stories of suicides originating from academic stress did scare me so I turned them down. I'll say this about Tufts. The social life can be depressing. As a commuter I tried to be friendly with the students but they just wouldn't respond. If you want to get a girlfriend, you better be from a frat or a rich family. The only thing going on ARE frat parties. Beware of fratitutes and those who think they aren't. For the most part, the girls are stupid and hypocritical. They'll call the cops on you if you write them a love letter but if you approach them at a frat party, they'll sleep with you. The education is superb in a few departments like English and Biology. Engineering is great. Physics is poor. Not the place to be as a premedical student though. The pre-med professors will make it tough on you to get A's. B's aren't enough to get you into med school. You need a 3.5 (~A-) or above for med school. It doesn't matter what college you go to, that's the GPA that med schools will expect from you. So if you're premed, go to a public school and prepare well for the MCATs. That's all that matters. Worst professor at Tufts: Leah Abraham, the only professor whose name should be blacklisted from all colleges. Long story but look her up on www.tuftsreview.com under the "waiting room" section and use the browser's "find tool" to read her reviews. Plenty of great professors do work at Tufts in the English (creative writing rocks!) and Biology departments. Chemistry is mediocre, physics is very bad (self-study!). Food is ok. Not sure what people are raving about. It's the same thing you eat at home (Well, if you're Italian :P)DO NOT GO AS A COMMUTER. You'll be treated like an extraterrestrial and getting a date will seem as illegal as paying for a prostitute. In Mass there are better alternatives and I'll say why. Harvard: Name recognition across the globe. Grade inflation to help students secure top jobs or graduate/medical school spots. MIT: Name recognition across the globe. Tough curriculum but they prepare you in the first year with no grades or impact on GPA. In the end, if you tell an employer that you went to MIT you'll get a "You're Hired!" response. Umass: So what if it's a state school. Low tuition and the premed program is better than Tufts. Basically Tufts is like BU, not even as good as Northeastern. At least Northeastern requires a Co-op in the fifth year to get your real life experience. At Tufts you must compete against your classmatea to get the Tufts Scholar positions. So unless you're A) White and B) Rich, C)not premed, D)Dormer, and E)Lucky (can't fail at any of this!) you better look elsewhere.
