Major: Math (This Major's Salary over time)
I went back to school after a long absence to finish a degree I started at a large urban school. The cost of attending SSC ($4,000 vs. $35,000) made it possible for me to attain my degree with no debt. NONE. That's a big plus. Of course, the cirriculum was not as challenging as I would have liked and the opportunities for research or customizing of my major were not what they would have been at a larger school. That is the trade off here. I was able to interact freely with the faculty daily; something that was impossible at the other school. I achieved my goal of being accepted to a good graduate school. Although I do think I will be behind many of my peers in terms of content breadth, hard work will hopefully narrow the gap.
