I grew up in the east, and transferred to the U of U from a respected eastern school. I graduated with honors from the U and the applied to a number of eastern laws schools. I was able to get into a number of law schools back east with my degree. The fact that I was a resident of the state of utah was very helpful, as schools love to have geographic diversity (east to west/west to east). (you know the promo stuff "we have student from 34 states - even one from Utah, bla bla bla). Also, I met some great people at the U. . skied, climbed, played rugby .. loved everything about it.
