This place is hell. Looking back on my decision, I cant beleive that I decided to attend Dickinson. It was one of the worst decisions of my life. Dickinson is medicore at best. While Dickinson tries to pride itself on its stellar academics they are, in reality, a complete joke. You could get a much better education at any state school than here. Dickinson has almost no money and a miniscule endowment, leaving the facilities, professors, and academic resources with much to be desired.

The social scene, like others have said, is terrible. It is extremley reminiscent of high school. Cliquish parties and drunken dorm gatherings. They may seem fun for the first few months of freshmen year, but it gets old extremley fast. I like to go out and I am a very social person, but its hard to find anything to do on weekends here. Carlsile is a very small town in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing else around it.

Its 4-6 hours away from NYC, Boston, or Philly so going into an urban enviroment to party on weekends is out of the question. You are essentially isolated in a tiny town on a tiny campus for four years and are hardly ever provided the chance to escape.

All in all, I wish I had attended my state school where I could have gotten a much better education for half the cost and where I would have had much, much more fun.
