MSOE does something that most universities do not, professors here get in trouble if students do well in their classes. Regardless of whether it is because they are an excellent teacher or simply an easy teacher, they are reviewed and put on probation unless their grades decrease. For this reason MSOE has had 12 people in a 105 year history graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I understand that engineering is a difficult field and that the program should not be easy, but MSOE prides itself on making it way harder than it needs to be. In addition if you are looking for a social life at all, MSOE is not for you, almost everyone here is introverted and you will find way more people in their rooms on weekends playing games than out having a good time. I would not suggest going here unless you are sure you are going into engineering and will be working in the midwest.
