I rated this as neutral, since I am an objective person, but overall my experience at SSC was negative. First, you have to understand that SSC is mostly a commuter school. Most people do not live in the dorms. I lived in the freshman dorm. Residence life is ridiculous. They are nazis. The RD of Bowditch hall does not care about you. She is the kind of person who doesn't allow you to do things "because she said so". Some of the students were bearable, and I was able to find a group of friends who had a substantially usable portion of gray matter between their ears. I wish I could have said the same for the rest of my peers. I don't know if every college is like this, but it seemed like most of the kids were immature. They had their hands held by mommy and daddy their entire life, and when they got to SSC it was like a whole new world. They could drink/smoke without any parents to worry about. But, unfortunately, this led to the bathrooms being disgusting 100% of the time, and a few thousand dollars worth of damage charges.Sports teams were horrible at this school. For some reason, if you were on a sports team you got to choose your classes before everyone else. That means all the good classes filled up within hours of registration. Registration was a horror show. Mostly because it is done through the school's website.Speaking of the website, it is horrible. When it does work, its slow. As mentioned, you have to register for classes online. Registration opens up at 6am. I was on my PC with lists of classes at 5:45am. All of the classes I wanted were already full. So were my backups, and the backups for my backups. I ended up with a crappy schedule that did NOT work for me. The faculty were nice. I heard about two or three really bad professors, but I never had any. They were all helpful, easy to approach, and some were willing to work with me on assignments for other classes (ie: my sociology professor helped me with an english paper). Please, remember: you get what you paid for.
