I just finished graduate school at OU. The school is not bad, it has improved greatly in the last ten years or so. Listen, Norman is not Dallas and Oklahoma is not Texas. There is stuff to do in Norman and the buildings surrounding campus are not "white trash" but actually older, beautiful depression-era homes, though I wouldn't expect Texans to comprehend such advanced aesthetic principles. Not everyone is Greek, actually there are a fair number of hipsters, a local record store, and an indy-music venue, you just need to hang out with the right people and you can become part of a more exciting and stimulating social life than jagger shots, and reminiscing about Plano. The influx of Texans is the worst part about the University, they are spoiled with big cars, big attitudes, and no sense, most of the Greeks are Texans from Plano.
