I have had a difficult time with class registration, admissions procedures (sent transcript 4 times), attitudes from telephone staff from the GET helpline, and course requirement forms that were not current. Poor availability of information pertaining to graduation requirements. However, there are an equal (or more) number of people (faculty, administration, and staff) that are really wonderful and who do want to help… but by that time I already lost time and sanity. Some of the school's policies are unfair, and there were occasions in which I felt like a "victim" who had no means of defending my rights. I want to like this school, but it is difficult. I am not challenged in the courses, and I would like more intellectual stimulation. However, most of my peers and classmates possess a different intellectual capacity than myself. I have experienced a reduction in brain activity since my enrollment. If I was wealthy I would not be here. I previously dropped out of a prestigious university years ago, and I regret throwing away that opportunity at a quality education. I feel that the education offered at this school does not equip me with the ammunition and knowledge to stay competitive on my career path. One definitely needs to supplement his/ her education rec'd at CSULA with additional material. If there are other choices, go elsewhere. Sorry.
