Major: PreMed and Medical (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm from CT, but not Fairfield County, so it took awhile to get used to the wealth that is all over campus. The wealth definitely rubbed off on certain people, but not all. The cars at the school are unbelievable…so many BMWs, Lexus, Audi, Landrovers, etc. The wealthy kids GENERALLY were assholes and don't really realize that they are assholes and not in high school anymore. Greek life is huge, and if you don't join, you're bound to lose some friends to some frat/sorority. I didn't join because I don't like the idea of paying for friends (and other associated reasons). It's possible to find people you fit in with, but it's not the easiest thing in the world. The bars suck…it's basically "My New Haircut". The advisors aren't particularly helpful either. Listen to your advisor from your major and get to know them…you'll have a better chance of being successful that way. Overall, you'll either find yourself working hard and with kids who work hard and will party when there work is done…or you'll end up with the typical business-type major and drink all week.. what you want to get out of school, you can get here. Bottom line: if you've never truly experienced long island, for the love of whatever holy being you believe in…do not go to this school. You'll end up transferring like I am.
