Major: Pharmacy (This Major's Salary over time)
The problem with Shenandoah University's pharmacy school is that the administration is overly chummy with the faculty members, so that when a dispute occurs (i.e. grading errors, inappropriate behaviors or comments) they are quick to turn a blind eye. This problem may be inherent to small private colleges in general, but it seems excessively bad here due to good ole' boy politics and a lack of accountability demonstrated by at least one key administrator. Here, you will find that the culture he and others have created is not conducive to the fostering of intellectual/professional growth, but instead promotes the false ideal that "its not WHAT you know, but WHO you know." My advice is that if you get accepted to another school, do not be taken in by SU's charm and Virginia's countryside. Choose the other program if the integrity of your education is most important to you.
