Listen, FIU like every other university is just that. Why do we complain about meaningless and pointless things such as parking and the people who like to party to much and influence us? Even though I've only attended at FIU for 3 semesters, I have learned not only from my experience but from friends that attend other institutions that you make what you want out of your education. These small challenges cannot base your decisions for attending a school that offers so many opportunities. I have no problem with community colleges, and I was only accepted into FAU and FIU but I wanted something different from high school. FIU was local and as many people have stated they provide good financial help. I have learned a lot in FIU, and no one can take that away. Whether you go to a private university like UM paying well over $3,000 which is FIU's estimated tuition (I dont really know, they pay for everything or whether you attend MCC, its YOU who makes your education, not your environment. Your surroundings only play like 10% of what you do with your life. People a nice, sweet, and down to earth at FIU. If you dont like some, why stereotype all FIU students and faculty?

That's how you know people haven't gotten over high school, when you hear them talk like "Those people that hang out with the loud music in the student center are annoying and I could not study!" Listen, I agree. That's why I move my behind and go to the secluded student study areas where NO ONE TALKS and leave the area that is used for student recreation as well as lunch breaks. Or that comment I keep reading " The faculty and teachers aren't helpful at all!!! Its their fault I'm doing badly" The times that I have messed up in classes is simply because I did not go to the FREE tutoring available, office hours, study the reccomended 1.5 hour per credit, or even make friends in the same class so that they could help me understand and visa versa. That's ridiculous. It's been my fault, and I just don'e see why its sooo easy to blame others for our lacking.
