I went to Vanderbilt last year and have transferred out. I felt that the academics were just okay, nothing special, though that could have just been my program, which admittedly is known to be kind of weak. There is a real lack of creativity that pervades the campus. This carries over in to the social realm as well. The school felt like it was full of all those kids from high school who so desperately want to be in the "popular group" all the wannabes gathered in to one school. It was sad. Conformity rules.
