I had an amazing 4 years at UB. As an athlete I had to be able to balance both the school work and practice time and races on most weekends. It was challenging but the athletic dept. and psych dept. are very helpful and gave me all the resources i needed to succeed. The athletic teams here aren't the best (football..) but our tennis and rowing teams (not given enough cred!) are excellent!i wasn't the biggest fan of the enormus lecture classes—sometimes so large that people would be sitting on the stairs b/c there was lack of space and with really chatty annoying ppl…but other than that the smaller more concentrated courses of my major were great.Lots of opportunites to be involved w research!! Dorms were average, def party central thurs-sat (sometimes a problem as i had to get up very early for practices..). The nite life here is legendary though, absolutly LOVE dt buffalo, there are so many great bars and clubs (open til 4am!) and main st. is sweet too. Plenty of frat parties too if your into that. One bad thing about UB is the 2 campuses—taking the bus is a PAIN and driving takes 8 min if there is no traffic to get from north to south..which never happens..

Overall though, UB is an awesome school, def the best SUNY, and it got me prepared for grad school!
