Everyone says that people are close minded and not down to earth, but that is because they had false expectations. Emory is a the type of place where YOU need to go and meet as many people as possible to find people you can hang out with. Basically there are 3 types of people. Koreans, Greek, and people that hang out in the library. Koreans - apparently one of their presidents came to emory so emory has become really popular in korea. they tend to always play soccer amongst them and smoke at 4 am outside the library. however if you get to meet them they are pretty cool. Greek - for the most part social people that like to party. as previously stated, 30% of the student body is greek however the social and party life revolves around fraternities. Library people - these are poeple that tend to have 4-5 friends at the most and always hang out with them. they are mainly focused in their studies but claim they like to go out, once a month. overall emory is what you make of it, if you stay in your room hoping that people are going to come and get you to have fun, you shouldnt be there.
