UIC is a place where people tend to have very positive or very negative reactions. You make your experience. Because so many students commute, go to class, and then go home - it's CAN be a place where you don't feel connected. On the other hand, if you CHOOSE to get involved in something - really amazing opportunities can open up for you socially, academically, and professionally. The campus administration is great about responding to groups of students that organize together.
