Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
Saint Joseph's is an excellent University that is going to grow immensely in the coming years. As I read the recent posts, many people said that the Business school is the only program recognized by companies and reviewers. That is not true. I live in suburbs two hours away from SJU, and school districts and businesses around here will hire an SJU alumni as quick as the application is turned in, no matter what major you are. The school is in the Philly city lines providing students with easy access to city shows, history, activities and nightlife so students can get off campus. As a student, I see Saint Joes as much more than "an abercromie dressed university." I do agree that there is not much diversity on campus, but that is all changing because the students have started organizations to "bridge the gap." If you tell a group a students that they are "all wealthy" many will laugh at you because there are many students with diverse backgrounds here with different economic statuses. Saint Joseph's offers numerous activities to get you involved with the university and local community. You will most likely partake in some type of community service while you are a student. Once students get involved, whether it be through greek life or service groups, many doors will open up and you will meet soooo many great people! In terms of students making the decision to come to SJU, they need to remember this is a small Jesuit school. We party and have fun, but also study A LOT. There are rules that take some getting use to, but overall SJU does give you enough freedom to excel outside of your home. I have HIGHLY recommended SJU to all of those in my area!
