Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
A '85 graduate of the College of New Rochelle - I really enjoyed and miss my days on campus. I had great friends and a wonderful roommate - and we just emailed one another the other day - we can't believe it's been 20+ years.I majored in Communication Arts and received a wonderful education in public relations and marketing. Many of life's lessons I learned as a student at CNR. I found the classroom size to be small enough - that faculty were extremely helpful and friendly. Everyone knew everyone on campus by first name for the most part. Although a woman's college, Iona College and CNR had many join programs together and the campus seemed to be buzzing with males coming and going (although there was a curfew on when men had to leave the dorms, it kept us from fighting about when boyfriends had to leave). CNR prepared me educationally and socially for the world ahead. Its proximity to New York City allowed me to serve an internship at NBC Studios - where I interned 3 days a week/9-5 my senior year. This was an excellent introduction to the working world that laid ahead of me. Every September when the leaves start to change and the temperatures become cool, I miss the days on the beautiful CNR campus and long for the times when my friends and I would hang out in our dorm, go to parties in the area, and laugh together in the cafeteria about the food, boys, and the party from the previous evening! It was a great time that over the years I have learned to appreciate each and every year.
