Gettysburg is a great school both academically and socially. The academics are not easy and it is quite a challenge for many students. There are many events to attend on campus and the nightlife is good as well, if you are into frats and sororities. Many people say that they don't like Gettysburg because of the amount of rich, stuck up people that go here, but that is how most highly selective liberal arts colleges are. It is not a bad thing and mostly everyone is extremely outgoing and friendly. The campus is beyond beautiful and is well-maintained throughout the entire school year. More on academics.. Students generally do not have problems getting into classes and if they are on the wait list, they can simply ask to professor for permission into the class and usually it is granted. Science classes are very challenging, as expected, and many people on campus are science majors. Gettysburg is an absolutely great school that is very focused on academics but contains students who are able to juggle both their academics and their social lives. It's a great experience!
