Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
About me: I am a Senior Citizen and a working adult. I took approximately 75% of my classes on line, 20% of classes on ground, and 5% of class in mini-semesters. The administration is friendly, but not very helpful”bless their heart. You need to remain persistent in obtaining information and be very active in your educational journey. When you call or visit for information, if the answer seems vague or not right, follow your instinct and return or recall another day. Get the name of the person who “assisted you (as if it mattered). On the positive side the teachers are knowledgeable and very approachable. There was only one Statistic professor (Willis) who was not very good at transferring knowledge. I think his problem is that he is so intelligent (probably genius level) in his field, that he does not understand the rest of us not being at his level. Also, I took his class online. Due to the intensity of this class, I believe this class would be better offered only on-ground. I “wrestled a B+ out of the class, but that was because I have a high aptitude for math. I really felt sorry for the majority of my classmates who were happy to just get a passing grade of D. My experience with all the other professors (on-line and on ground) was overall very positive and spiritually inspiring. I especially like the servant/leadership spirit that is promoted throughout the courses.Pertaining to the quality of education and the value of the degree, I would rate DBU at an 8.5 (on a scale of 1 to high 10). My knowledge in the studied fields did increase, integrity was nurtured, and the business community has high respect for a DBU alumni. Since my graduation, I have landed several executive level interviews. I would highly recommend DBU education for older returning adults. DBU is not the “cheapest institution out there, but it is well worth the investment of money and time.
