I wish I knew the UL that a previous poster commented on. That UL sounds like an enjoyable school where you might learn something and feel welcome. My experience here has been the opposite.

Maybe there are talent shows or stuff like that, but my professors are so dull that I couldn't imagine spending any time with them outside of class. So far as classes go, the general ed. is just a joke, and the course majors might as well just hand out a bullet-point study sheet since they don't give you anything more than a basic, common-sense handout in the first place.

As for location, UL is in *THE GHETTO*. Old Louisville is nothing fancy, and drug dealers love it since they have plenty of customers from this place. Yes, you can spend $500k on a house, and you will get a large, nice house in this area, but that house will be neighbored by brothels and drug dens.

I can't speak about the apparent racism since I come from Louisville and honestly can't recognize it. But this school is a miserable excuse for an institution of higher learning, and I earnestly look forward to leaving this slum for a place where I might actually enjoy my memories and get an education.
