I am a graduate student, but I attended UCF for my undergraduate degree as well. Why? I loved my department. However, at UCF, students are just dollar and cent signs—despite what others may have you believe. Faculty in the Arts and Humanities departments will bend over backward to help out students as much as possible, but the administrative BS at the university level will undermine anything department faculty attempts. Pursue what you set out to pursue, but leave a paper trail (Xerox copies of anything UCF has to sign off on). Good luck.
