Anyone can get into JSC. Weather you want to apply to the school, get wasted, or stalk girls. JSC is a relitivly safe place. It is safe due to luck. Public saftey is primarly focused on locking up doors. During the night time public saftey officers are at their apartments playing video games. I have called public saftey because homeless people were sleeping in the common rooms in the dorms. They would not make the dorms secure. I called P/S because there was a big comotion in the student parking lot. It took them over 5 minutes to come over. P/S watched a car get stolen and did nothing about it. They are lucky nothing serious has happend.

The councleing center sucks. In 2007, a Sr. student was suicidal. He went to the councleing center and eventualy commited suicide in the bacement of a dorm building.

There is this kid currently on campus (2008) who talks about how he thinks it would be cool to kill people who piss him off. He says how he thinks it would be cool to set himself on fire and run after people. I have reported this to P/S and Res-Life and nothing has been done.

House-keeping has some flaws. In the dorm building I live in (MART) the house-keeping lady wont clean the showers for weeks, sometimes even months. When students move into their new rooms, the rooms often times are still filthy. Some students have contracted fungus conditions from the rooms. They seldomly clean the mattreses before students move into their rooms.

The majority of the teacher's I've had do not care. Some do care. Most dont. One teacher in particular would start class 10 minutes late. She would take 1-3 cigarette breaks during an hour and fifteen minute class and then let class out 20 to 30 minutes eirly. The quality of teaching was very poor.

There is a HUGE drug problem. I have at times felt like a minority. Many people binge drink and do many kinds of illegal drugs. The college doesn't seem like they want to do much to prevent the drug being on campus.

Many students live localy. During the weekends many go home. It seems like a ghost town on the weekends.

Percentage of Freshman to Sophmore retention is 61%. The percentage of students who attend johnson for 6 years and graduate is 34%. They say 6 years because it is the highest percentage they can get for people who graduate from johnson.
