The upper management, teachers and staff are totally incompetent. If you ask for anything, the answer is either I don't know or go to such and such. Ultimately, to stay away from trouble, you have to settle for the least. The environment at fmu is not conducive for learning. The halls and the bathrooms are dark and dangerous. Students are mostly depressed and don't care about learning. Fmu accepts everyone who can breath. But they keep losing students every semester. To keep students from dropping or transferring, professors are pressured to pass everyone, which makes the situation worse. You find yourself sitting with lazy students who can't read but they end up getting passing grades. If you are black, you are always graded low no matter how hard you work. To some professors, it doesn't matter because they know graduating from fmu gets you nowhere. When I complained about my grade, the teacher told me I didn't even deserve to pass. When I told him that the grades he posted are about 75-80% the same or lower than my grade, he confirmed that about 80 % of students at fmu don't even belong to college. In a sense I agree and I have seen it myself but when you work very hard at fmu they treat you the same.
