Major: Physics (This Major's Salary over time)
Florida Institute of Technology is a great school if you are an Aeronautics major. The school certainly prides itself on its flight program. Teachers in my department are friendly, but throughout the entire school, it is difficult to find a teacher that speaks English fluently. The school is very focused on research, which many professors are involved in. Social life is practically nonexistent and I spend most time alone as there is little to do on campus. I often walk around campus on the weekend without passing a single person. Even at night during the week, the campus is dead. The beach gets old and there is nothing to do in the surrounding town. Residence halls are decent but in need of renovation. The only good thing is that the university grounds are well kept. Maintenance workers are always landscaping. Tuition, room and board fees, etc. are way overpriced. I do feel like I will be coming out with a good education, but it's not worth the price I am paying.
