Fundamentalism and higher education really do not mix. It is absurd to watch the faculty pretend that intellectual life matters to them. The students, being "northern" Baptists try not to appear completely white trash but it comes through anyway. A little bit of bumble**** on the Main Line. The religious instruction is narrow and mean-spirited and designed to produce Stepford wives and husbands who are Rapture ready. No one is taught to think critically as that would undermine the Monkey trial mindset of the place. Creepy and dim students are taught what they already know is really enough to get them through life when they are released after a four year sentence. Avoid if possible.
