I have only been here for one semester, and I can honestly say I'm not sure what I will do for the next. This school is played up to be "difficult" and "exclusive". Exclusive, maybe. Difficult? Not so much. It was ridiculously easy to get in here. They have open admission if you have a 2.5 or above from your other University (I am a transfer) Thus far, my academics have not been so challenging; however, my professors have been wonderful! I cannot say one negative thing about any of my professors. They are all helpful, open minded (at least the ones I have experienced) and excited to be there. I absolutely love them and the individual ways that they teach.

Socially, Baylor is a different story…Waco is a crappy town with nothing to do. It is tiny, and if you don't know anyone, you are out of luck. I transferred here after taking a year off and have met some "friendly" people, but no one who is legitimately interested in making a new friend. In the weeks that I have been here I have noticed that Greek life is dominating on campus, and unfortunately, I am too old to be able to (or want to…) participate. I'm only 20, mind you. This would be no problem if it was easy on campus to access some kind of schedule of events, but I don't even know if there are any events on campus? Sometimes there are things written on the sidewalk, but it mostly seems that freshman are welcome.

My overall opinion is that academically, this is a mediocre school with great professors and unfriendly people…mind you, my family has money and I probably LOOK like I could fit in here…but I am having a very hard time getting around the closedmindedness… I think this would be an amaznig environment for a freshman to get involved, but do not transfer here. Save your money…
