I cannot understand how you can attack people who have negative comments. This is not a one-size-fits all institution and get over the fact people have different opinions than YOU. |
I disagree with her viewpoint. Everyone is different and has their own lives and it's no one's business to tell others what to do. |
Get over that fact everyone is DIFFERENT has is entitled to their own opinion. |
Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I honestly can't understand the negative comments about this school, I absolutely loved it! To all of the people who are discouraging others by saying courses are not available every semester, while that's true, it's just not the entire story! Every campus has limited courses, but if you don't procrastinate, this won't be a problem! I got in and our of this school in 4 years with a 3.8 overall GPA and a 4.0 in my major. I never had problems getting into courses because I planned in advance, as any good college student should do.The other thing I loved about this school is that the campus is absolutely beautiful. It felt good just to stand on this campus, and so I always wanted to be there. It is a commuter school but people are being quite ridiculous with their comments about how hard it is to meet people. There are HUNDREDS of clubs, how hard can it be to meet people if you take the initiative to join some? You certainly can't blame the fact that it's a commuter campus because you refuse to socialize with others. Although UC schools will probably always be seen in a better light, CSULB has some fairly well-known professors in certain fields. They are extremely intelligent and helpful people, and their personalities differ so much that it gives quite a diverse and unique learning experience in each and every single class. Aside from the classes themselves, there are countless research opportunities with professors throughout the year. These opportunities gives students a chance to establish themselves and therefore make them more competitive when applying to different graduate schools. There is also the Career Development Center which will sit down with you one-on-one to help you write a resume and go about looking for relevant jobs. They're not only available to students, they're available to graduates as well! There is just no reason to not be able to get on your feet after graduation.I loved my entire four years at Cal State Long Beach and couldn't have picked a better place to be. It was a beautiful campus with wonderful professors (some of which I still speak to years after being out of their classes). College is going to be what you make it, and making a wonderful experience for yourself is more than possible at CSULB.
