Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
Brevard has a lot of promise, but doens't reach up to it. I had a few great caring professors that seemed to care that the students learned than make some stupid grade or complete bullshit work. However it seems from my five years I also learned a few things negative about Brevard, too. First off I wouldn't advocate changing majors near the end of your 2nd year, as you'll be taking a lot of classes to play catch up. But I'd say the administration is out of touch with the students. While it is a private college which means students are not protected under some constitutional rights, you would think that campus life would take measures against illegal searches during fire drills, or digging through students trash for some to bust some students. Watch the bitter RA's or they'll do everything they can to bust you as many times as they can. While Brevard is in a pretty area you might run into some boredom if you are not a big outdoor activites type of person. Sure you could drive to Asheville but thats at least 30 min. away. Brevard does have promise, if admin. and campus life would actually try to listen to the students and do what would benefit the students more than it would be a much better place. Last warnings, most (2 of 5)dorms don't have AC, they look really dated, and I hope the cafeteria wasn't as bad as it was back in the 2006-2007 year.
