I am an 18 year old fresh out of high school. I got pregnant when I was 16 and only a junior. I finished my junior and senior years and wanted to find the best possible college to fit my life & money situations. Brown Mackie seemed like it. It was one course a month which meant plenty of time for studying and concentration, it also meant classes only monday through thursday three hours a day. This was perfect.. until I actually attended Brown Mackie. I am still enrolled but planning on dropping out. I've been there for 3 months now, going on 4. They recently changed the schedule without giving students notice of having the option to vote whether they wanted it changed or not. I've also been hearing all the things people are saying about it not being accredited. I've also heard many things about how employers in my area/state do not accept Brown Mackie students because they do not gain enough knowledge for the career they are going in to. The classes are WAY too easy. Sure anyone who doesn't care would like that but I WANT an education.. Right now i'm just learning the same things I learned last year in High School. I'm very upset with financial aid and everyone else I have talked to is too. They don't service your needs what so ever. They instead give you excuse after excuse as to why they cannot help you get your money. There is ALWAYS a line out the door for financial aid and there is ALWAYS people yelling at the people working behind the counter because they won't help them with what they need. I can honestly say I hate this school and I am extremely angry that I have wasted all this time and money that could be spent on my two year old daughter instead.
