Saint Joseph's is wonderful all around. The (growing) campus is beautiful. Walking out of Bellarmine and seeing Finessey Field in the foreground and Mandeville Hall and Barbelin Tower in the distance never gets old. The president, Father Lannon, obviously cares a great deal about the school and community. There's always something being done to improve the university. Academically, the courses are challenging and invigorating. You need to stay on top to get A's in all of the classes, even the "easy" ones. From what I've heard, though, it will pay off in the end as a degree from SJU is very valuable. There are few negatives about the school but of course it isn't perfect. Some of the students tend to be ignorant. Some lack common sense. Overall, though, it's a pretty bright group and I think the intelligence level will continue to rise. There are a ton of things to do on campus. Pride for the university runs rampant. Everyone seems to be happy to be a Hawk and this is key to the sense of community fostered by the student body. It's truly a great time to attend SJU, also, as there are a number of projects being undertaken that will be finished within a year."The Hawk will never die", as we say on Hawk Hill, is the motto of the school and it rings through the campus every day.
