Major: School of Information (This Major's Salary over time)
MGCCC in Perkinston, Mississippi is an excellent college for those who think that college is not for them. This is about a bridge between high school and a real college. Classes, in the academic sense, feel like old school, high school classes, but with the added difficulty (if that is what your major entails). Don't let that phase you, as there is a wide range of majors and difficulty in classes, depending on what your goals are.The college is in a very small town called Perkinston, and all but some housing and a church are settled on campus. There is a nearby gas station, and about 5 miles north is Wiggins, a decent place with a few fast food joints, a Walmart, and some other businesses useful to college students. Students are fairly diversified, but can be slightly temperamental. However, simply introduce yourself and you'll find people to hang out with. Your classmates will be extremely useful, especially as you delve into more technical classes. Grades aren't important, but friendships and hitting that end goal is, so use all of your resources. A library is open from 6AM-9PM most days, and there is free WiFi on campus.Overall, this is a great school if you need that boost to get situated into a larger college. Take advantage of scholarships and other programs to get that kicker into the industry, and do what you want to do for the rest of your life!
