I am very proud to be a Grinnellian. I miss it regularly and feel that it prepared me thoroughly for the professional world. The town of Grinnell, on the other hand, is not "a little Manhattan" as the brochure has stated, but it is still very dear to my heart. Go get a caramel apple at the farmers' market after a brain-busting seminar, take a study break at 2:30am to the town bakery and buy a fresh donut as the owner prepares tomorrow's bread, or caucus in a presidential election. You'll see what I mean.
