The campus is beautiful, especially in springtime, though the surrounding city is rather uneventful (I'm local, so I'm used to it, but it can be shocking when coming from a big city). Be prepared for the costs - it's expensive, and while the college's teachers are often fantastic, the staff at the financial aid and student accounts offices aren't particularly easy to deal with if there's a billing mistake or if you are having some trouble with making payments.

There are cheaper colleges that offer just as good an education, as well as more exciting ones, but I wouldn't rate Hartwick necessarily badly - I don't regret coming.
