I don't know what everyone who posted their review is talking about. The University of New Haven is not as bad as those people say it is. Those are the people who just sit inside their rooms all day and wait for something to happen/ play World of Warcraft. Stephen Kaplan is doing a fabulous job at making UNH a better and more prestigious school each and every year. Just for their information, there is always something happening, you just have to make friends. Think about it, UNH is a small private school of about 3,500 students. Obviously there aren't thousands upon thousands of people out smoking crack like you would like. You'll have to walk down Cambell Ave. if you're interested.

UNH offers many programs that are challenging. I am clustered with work each and every night that my Professors give me. And the Professors here aren't just random people pulled from the streets. If you looked at the credentials of my professors you would be amazed.

As an athlete, I am very busy. As student in group organizations on campus I am very busy. So if you want to get involved then join a group, fraternity, a sports team or MAKE FRIENDS! You'll constantly be busy. Unless you have ADD and you go back to your room and less than a minute later you become bored and need something that will stimulate you.

You really have to understand the history of UNH if you're going here. In 1920 UNH was New Haven YMCA Junior College where classes were held at Yale University. The University split from Yale in 1926 and became known as New Haven College. On UNH's 50th aniversary, the institution became known as the University of New Haven. UNH was solely a commuter school up until 1985 when the first dorm rooms were built on campus. Recently the school has boomed so drastically to accomodate all its students and their needs with facilities. UNH is trying to play "catch up" spending just about every dollar that is brought in right now to bring its student world class facilities like the Beckerman Recreational Center, the new residential buildings, and the Henry C. Lee institute building in the spring of '09. But who knows, a Law school is in the works in 2011-2012. Stephen Kaplan is the best thing that has happened to UNH since UNH has opened. He is very concerned about his students and wants the very best for all of them.

So next person who gives the school negative review probably just sits in their room and jerks it all day and watches soap operas. I am busy nonstop, and if I don't have anything to do at the moment, I find something to do. My days are busy from the moment I wake up just about until I fall asleep.
