Okay..for the GOOD points of RCNJ- for starters, the campus is beautiful. You honestly get soaked up in the scenery. The school is in the mountains and you get gorgeous views of the Ramapo Mountains. The campus is well maintained and the dorms are REALLY REALLY nice. They're apartments, the dorms are all air conditioned, free laundry, and they each have their own bathrooms as opposed to a community bathroom on a floor. The food is pretty decent for the most part. Easy to go to NYC and the reservation is fun to go to. Classes are pretty small and most of the professors are nice and so far my classes aren't too challenging in fact, they're quite interesting. Oh and the classes are all 4 credits instead of 3 so you can only take 4 classes and have 16 credits a semester so you can manage your time better..

Now the BAD..

VERY VERY small campus. If you want a lot of diverse people and busyness DON'T GO HERE. Speaking of diversity, there isn't much. A lot of snobby and cliquey people..There are almost barely parties cause you can't really have that many, unless you wanna get drunk in your dorm which is lame. There is no off campus housing so theres no house parties to go to. There's no frat or sorority houses so yeah. Basically this school sucks for parties and a social life. The people are all very closed minded. There is nothing to do but eat and go to "late night" (dining in Birch from 9pm-1am that consists of all kinds of garbage shit food you can eat so freshmen 15 almost a promise). Big pot head school almost cause there is nothing to do ever. Going to a bar is possible but very annoying cause YOU must drive out of the way. Mahwah is NOT a college town and the cops and security are INSANE!!! Oh and everyone, including myself, goes home on the weekends because this place becomes a ghost town on the weekends.

Bottom line..

If you want a laid back lifestyle with a decent education, and if your not a big party person, or you're gonna be a commuter Ramapo is for you. If you want a social atmosphere, parties, busyness, fun, and a good education, go somewhere else.
