Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a mechanical engineering senior with a 3.552 GPA.My first year was spent on Avery Point. That was a beautiful campus right by the sea. It was small so the advantage came with small class sizes: virtually a private education at a low cost. And it was relatively inexpensive compared to the Storrs Campus. The bottom line about UConn: for what you pay, you get a lot. That's what I like best about UConn. Coming from a middle class family that was the top selling point of coming here. I say, why pay 100,000 dollars for the same information? The undergraduate realm has a pretty generic flavor no matter where you go, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. My biggest (and probably only) gripe is the people on this campus. I think they're all fairly dumb but I understand that the university needs to make ends meet somehow.
