Major: Industrial Design (This Major's Salary over time)
I spent a semester at CCS—Beware, it's easy to get in, but hard as hell to stay. ESPECIALLY if you have chosen industrial design. Please don't waste your time going there if you're not willing to pull at LEAST one all-nighter a week. Every student I talked to while I was there has pulled an all-nighter, so don't let the staff fool you - you're going to be working like crazy. That's what you're here to do. I saw EMS wheel a girl out of the cafeteria because she passed out during finals week.

The professors I've had are excellent to horrible, like others have said, the English teachers assume that you are stupid. Easiest A ever. I felt like I learned a lot in nearly every class I took. (for ID) Coming in not knowing what a drill press is IS bad. It can be fixed, but if you're not a mechanical person by nature, maybe you should reconsider wanting I.D. or Trans.

I dropped out because I couldn't handle it. Driving back and forth hours every day took its toll. The classes are very, very competitive (of course, this is coming from an I.D. perspective, other departments are a little less strenuous on their students), often times it will come down to whether you want it more than the person sitting next to you.

Never procrastinate. Never. Fill sketchbooks and sketchbooks with ideas. This will be expected of you.

Don't come here expecting to find yourself. Don't be fooled - foundation is foundation, but from the first semester you're working on your major.

To end it all, the library is fantastic. Take advantage of every resource you can. Get to know people. Work, work, work.
