I feel like most of these reviews are extremely biased, based on whether or not the person had a good experience. College is honestly such a mix of experiences, you really have to be open-minded.Arizona was my safety school, but I am so glad I came here. The school is beautiful and so is the student body. As long as you're proactive/social you are sure to have a good time. Yes, many people drink (most people in every college do) and many people are in the Greek system, but that is not required to have a good time. The party life is amazing, because yes Tucson unfortunately is not much of a city, instead a college town. If you don't like to party/go out, word of advice, don't come here!!!! Everything revolves around the U, which means great school spirit, but we don't have much of "city nightlife." I think the ultimate decision on whether or not to come to UofA should be based on if you want "the college experience." That is exactly what you will receive, sorry very little diversity at this school, but everything college is portrayed to be…football games, wild parties, Greeks, beautiful people, academics…and as far as academics go, there are several programs like Business and Retail which are nationally ranked, so you don't have to be all that bright to get in to UofA, but you have to be willing to study and do well in school to stay here, which many people forget
